On the drive north from New York toward Massachusetts we saw
a sign about Yale University. We took a
side trip and found part of Yale surrounded by a tall chain link fence and
locked for the weekend. When I approached
the fence to make a picture through the fence, an alarm went off and we decided
we didn’t really need that picture. We
did see another sign toward the Yale Bowl and followed it to the baseball
field. It is very old but has
interesting architecture. We thought
about how lucky Justin is to be playing baseball for Auburn and how lucky Riley
is to have a baseball scholarship to Southern Union.
We drove to Rhode Island, found a really nice Holiday Inn Express and Suites and I spent a couple of hours with laundry! There are some things that don’t go away. We also made reservations for a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and a tour while we are there. DeLyn encouraged us to get a tour so that we won’t be disappointed like we were at the Hamptons. Good idea.
